Alpine curling
Alpine curling is probably the oldest ice game in the world. According to historical records, the game was played in the alpine countries as early as in 1427, during Austrian wedding celebrations. The rules for the game are a combination of those for boules and curling. The stones used for alpine curling weigh 1.5 kg each. One person at a time slides a stone along the ice, trying to get it as near the goal stone as possible. The aim is to get one’s stones within a certain distance of it. Each stone remaining in the designated area gives the player one point. We have two sets of equipment and two rinks near the hotel. A set of equipment consists of six stones and one goal stone.
